The Truckee Chest Pack is a versatile, light-weight, full-featured pack ready for your next fly fishing adventure. I named this pack after the Truckee River is Northern California, where I had some great times and memorable fishing.

Features

The Truckee Chest Pack has all the features you need in a full-size fly fishing chest pack, with some innovative features and hidden versatility.

  • Interior volume of around 5 liters holds multiple fly boxes, accessories, phone, wallet, and anything else you want to bring with you on the water.
  • Interior elastic mesh pockets provide organization for leaders, fly dressings, etc.
  • Multiple webbing straps and anchor points on the front and sides allow the attachment of accessories.
  • Magnetic loop fly patch allows for both magnetic and physical attachment of flies to keep them secure as they dry. It’s also strong enough to keep metal nippers or hemostats at-the-ready.
  • Comfortable harness with a padded back and integrated net holster.
  • Reinforced webbing loops at the back of the pack allow for several different carry options if you want to ditch the harness.
  • Assembled Dimensions:  10.5 x 7.5 x 4 inches (27 x 19 x 10 cm)

Challenge Level: Intermediate

I recommend this build for those who have a some sewing experience. If you have started your sewing journey with MYOG Angler and have built a few projects like the Fast Fly Mini Pack or Flylight Reel Case, you’re probably ready to take on this project.
